How real-time is the stock and order sync?

Orders arrive via Shopify webhooks and are created in SAP B1 within seconds to a couple of minutes. Stock updates from SAP B1 are polled from the Service Layer, typically every 5 to 10 minutes, with an option to push immediately after goods receipts or deliveries. Product and price updates are usually scheduled less frequently, such as hourly.

How do you handle SKU mapping, duplicate customers and failed orders?

We map SAP B1 ItemCode to Shopify variant SKU and handle variants, bundles and units of measure explicitly in the mapping. Shopify customers are matched to Business Partners by email or a stored CardCode, with a default web-customer account for guest checkouts if you prefer. Orders that fail in SAP B1 (missing item, blocked partner, credit limit) are held in a retry queue with alerting so nothing is silently lost.
