Acumatica is a cloud ERP for mid-sized businesses in distribution, manufacturing, construction, and services, with unlimited-user licensing and a strong API-first design. Companies integrate Acumatica with eCommerce platforms, field service tools, CRMs, and payment providers so that orders, inventory, and financials remain accurate without duplicate data entry. AIONDATA builds Acumatica integrations using the contract-based REST API (Default endpoint and custom endpoints), generic inquiries exposed via OData, push notifications (webhooks), and import scenarios for bulk loads.

Acumatica and AI assistants (MCP)
Official MCP server: announced, not released. Acumatica says its MCP implementation starts from Generic Inquiries (blog, Sept 17, 2026), but nothing is released, and an Acumatica employee wrote that an official MCP is planned not earlier than the beginning of 2027.
Besides syncing Acumatica with your other systems, we can give Claude, ChatGPT or Microsoft Copilot controlled access to it through an MCP server: read-only tools first, write actions with approval steps, and every call logged.

How do you integrate with Acumatica?
Acumatica exposes a contract-based REST API with a versioned Default endpoint covering most screens, and we extend it with custom endpoints when we need extra fields or custom screens. For reporting, generic inquiries can be published as OData feeds, and push notifications let Acumatica trigger our integration when a record changes.
Does Acumatica have API limits we should know about?
Acumatica licenses include a limit on API users and on commercial API transactions per month depending on the edition, so we design integrations to batch requests, use webhooks instead of polling, and log usage. This keeps you within your license tier and makes any needed upgrade a deliberate decision rather than a surprise.
Can we connect Acumatica to an AI agent?
Yes. AIONDATA can build a custom MCP server that wraps Acumatica REST endpoints and generic inquiries as tools, so an AI agent can answer questions about customers, orders, inventory, or projects and, with approval steps, create records. The agent uses a dedicated Acumatica API user with a restricted role.
Do you work with Acumatica customisations and third-party add-ons?
Yes. Customisation projects, custom fields, and ISV modules are common in Acumatica, and we map to them through custom endpoints or extended entities. We build against your sandbox tenant and validate against your customisation project before deploying.
